ASAKUA
FEED BARGE — FLOATING OPERATIONS HUB

Feed Barge

Floating feed barge for offshore and freshwater fish farms — feed storage, centralized distribution and operations control in one platform.

SYSTEM CORE

A single floating platform that combines feed storage, distribution and operations control for a fish farm. Feed silos, distribution lines, control room and generator work as one integrated structure. ASAKUA designs the feed barge as part of turnkey cage projects — sized to site data, target stocking density and feeding regime — and builds it at our Izmir facility.

APPLICATION SCENARIOS

Designed for these scenarios.

SCENARIO 01

Open-ocean fish farm

A central feed store and distribution hub for multi-cage open-ocean sites. Steel or HDPE hull, flotation sized to wave loading. Operator cabin, control panel and generator are planned together; silo capacity is sized to project demand for extended-duration storage.

SCENARIO 02

Reservoir installations

A floating feed barge for inland projects on reservoirs where shore distance or access is limited. A simplified hull for low wave exposure, with small to mid-range silo configurations. Provides a logistics advantage in trout and sturgeon operations.

SCENARIO 03

Operations control hub

Beyond feeding, the barge serves as the daily operations hub of the farm — feed distribution software, cage monitoring, generator and equipment management are run from one point. Modular integration for crew cabin, backup power and auxiliary systems.

TECHNICAL

Optimized structural behavior.

The structure is built as a steel or HDPE hull — sized to site conditions, transport access and operator preference. Feed silos are subdivided to project demand; the distribution line runs from below to each cage via pneumatic or mechanical transfer. The control room houses operator interfaces, distribution software and monitoring equipment in fitted panels. The generator set is sized to power demand plus standby reserve, with a noise and emissions enclosure in a separate compartment. ASAKUA engineering teams design flotation, structural strength, mooring and system integration alongside the rest of the cage project.
